The intent of Joyous Living 101 is to remind you how to feel deep, radiant joy as your default emotion, and find profound inspiration and eagerness in every action that you take. Would you like to live this way?
What if you could live this way and every part of your life would begin to align with your grandest dreams - family, work, health, everything - unfolding the way you've always wanted?
Then start noticing your feelings. When you would like to feel better, shift your attention to different thoughts. You’ll notice that often when you don’t like how you are feeling, you also find that you are thinking about things you don’t want. Try thinking about what you do want and imagine how it would feel to have it.
As you notice and begin to understand the relationship between your thoughts and feelings, you will begin to automatically choose the thoughts that feel best. As you do this more and more, you’ll feel better and better until you begin to feel great most of the time.
That’s all there is to it. Once you decide to try out the idea that your thoughts affect how you feel, then you simply:
Shift you attention when you want to feel better.
Keep shifting and noticing and you’ll find yourself feeling better and better. Soon you’ll start to feel great so much of the time that you expect it.
No extra effort is needed to make your joy infectious. When you are happy enough, it’s always contagious and will rub off on those around you. So get your bliss on and help start an epidemic of good feelings!
